Fledglings - day care for children age 2 to 3 years.

Our fledgling children are cared for within the Olive Carr House, which has been purpose built and has all of the facilities necessary for children of this age. Our staff ratio is one to four, and we do not have more than eight children in the room at one time.

The children are cared for and taught by experienced nursery teachers and have a daily routine which is followed each session. The children are taught independence whilst within our nursery, they are taught to wash their own hands, put on their own shoes, brush their teeth following lunch, and put their own toys away and eventually, when parents feel they are ready, potty and toilet training.

At this age, we feel that children need as much outdoor play as possible, and our beautiful garden and play area is an idyllic place for this to happen. All children are asked to bring wellingtons to school for those slightly muddier and wetter days!

Lunchtimes are very much a social time for the children, they walk to the main dining hall and sit at tables with their staff where they begin learning to sit and eat together and try new foods.
