Maths Mastermind

After a wonderful week of Maths challenges and problem solving, we ended our Annual Maths Week with a Maths Mastermind Challenge in the Markham Hall, played out in front of all of the Senior School. Mr Hampson took on the role of John Humphreys, Mrs Gibbard was in charge of keeping score and Lyle Mcnally was responsible for the stop watch.

Following a week of difficult qualifying challenges and tests, the finalists were eventually narrowed down to four contenders; Leo Tsang (Year 8), Jennifer Coe (Year 9), Henry Tang (Year 11) and Kerry Davies (Year 11).

After a number of gruelling questions in the hot seat it was Jennifer Coe who won the Maths Mastermind Challenge 2010! All students who took part did amazingly well and should be very proud of their scores.

Well done to all those who took an active part in Maths Week and particular thanks to Mr Hampson and Mrs Gibbard for organising the problems of the day competitions.
