Due to the snow and icy conditions over the weekend the Senior Department Cross Country at the YMCA has now been postponed until Tuesday 6th March at 2.00pm.

Due to the current weather forecast for the weekend, we have unfortunately had to postpone the ISA North, U.11 5-a-side football tournament which was due to take place on Monday. The provisional date for a re-arranged fixture is Wednesday 22nd February, this is to be confirmed.

We are looking for teams of Old Boys and teams of Old Girls for the 2012 Graeme Stiff Memorial 5-a-side Football Tournament.It will take place on Saturday 24th March, 11.00am kick-off.There will be a £25 entry fee per team and all proceeds will go to Help For Heroes.To book your place or a full team please email

Michaelmas term ended at 1pm today after the Senior School inter-house quiz and end of term assembly. We will be open Monday 19th - Wednesday 21st December, 8.30 - 4.30pm. The Pre Prep Nativity was, yet again, an absolutely superb display of how confident and talented the young children at St. James' really are. WELL DONE to all of the children and staff involved in what was a fantastic play and something that you should all be very proud of. The DVD will be available very soon.

'Well done to everyone for a really positive attitude on the Senior School Geography Field trip to Somerset. An incredible amount of hard work was done towards their Controlled Assessment'. All students were very well behaved and were an absolute credit to the School.

Many thanks to those who have donated equipment. The gym has become a successful part of school life, with many pupils benefiting! Some pupils undertaking the Duke of edinburgh Award have been attending the Shool Gym Club to help improve their fitness to be able to cope with the demands of the hill walking. Well done to the U11 7-a-side football team who won their football match against Middlethorpe Primary School, on Monday evening, after a 1-1 draw score and the game went to penalties. They will now play in the final at Blundell Park on Monday 9th May.
