PTA Golf 2011

Four Amigos Capture PTA Golf Trophy

Ten teams of four players contested this year’s PTA Golf AM-AM, which was held at Waltham Windmill Golf Club, on Friday 30th September, 2011.

A beautiful hot sunny day, resembling the middle of July, rather than late September, meant that the conditions were perfect. Scoring was high, with all teams passing the 80 points mark. Three teams tied for 3rd place on 92 points, whilst The 4 Amigos and  The Grimsby Terriers tied for 1st place with a very impressive score of 98. In the end, it was the 4 Amigos that clinched the trophy, on count back, meaning that David Carroll becomes the second captain (after Andrew Gillett) to win the competition for a second time. Congratulations go to him and his team of  Richard Carroll, Paul Dewhurst and Brian McVeigh.

The event raised over £300 for PTA funds. Thanks to all those who took part.
