Scholarship Examinations: Monday 21st March 2011

When your child enters senior school, he/she still needs nurturing.

St. James’ School is holding scholarship examinations for students from local schools, for years 3 upwards, for entry in September 2011. If you are concerned about the current School that your child is attending, or are simply not happy with how your child’s first year at Senior School has gone – why not consider a private education for your child?

At St. James’, we teach students as individuals and the care and dedication of our staff ensures that St. James’ is a happy and productive place for students to learn and grow.

Relationships between pupils and teachers are always good and often excellent. This combined with well-structured and purposeful lessons create an ethos that is highly conducive to learning and good behaviour”

Scholarship Day: Monday 21st March 2011

Candidates will need to arrive at school at 8:45am when they will be greeted by Mrs McMillan, Deputy Headteacher, who will take them to sit the examination. Following the examination, candidates will then be given the chance to spend the remainder of the day at school, have lunch and really see what it would be like to come to St. James’.

Parents are invited to have a look around the School at 9:00am (please let us know beforehand should you wish to do this) and also to meet with Mrs Isaac, Headteacher and/or Mrs McMillan, either at the end of the day or the following day, in order to gain some feedback as to how the day has gone. Candidates will be ready to be collected at 3:50pm.

NB: parents will need to complete a medical form should their child be staying for the taster day.
