Swimming Gala 2010

A well contested Swimming Gala was held between years 5, 6, 7 & 8 on Friday 15th January, at Scartho Baths. The eventual winners were Walkerly House, closely followed by Lindsey House and Blakeney House came in third.
Congratulations to all who took part and made this event a thoroughly enjoyable occasion.
A special mention to Hannah Woods and Robert Bulcock who were best overall girl and boy on the day, and also to Moby Mahmood, in year 6, who received the Shotton Trophy for most improved swimmer.

Lindsey House came 2nd in the Swimming Gala. We had a very well organised team and everyone tried their best. We would like to congratulate all the students that took part. Well done!

Hannah Woods & Callan Postma (Lindsey House, Year 8)

All 3 teams; Blakeney, Walkerly and Lindsey, took off to a brilliant start at the years 5, 6, 7 & 8 Swimming Gala. All Houses were persistent and wanted to win, but it was Walkerly who took an astonishing lead after just twenty minutes. This didn't mark the end just yet though. At the half way mark it was neck and neck between Walkerly and Blakeney, with Lindsey closing in.
Just before the relay races all teams were very close, with just 8 points between 1st and 3rd place. The relay races were very exciting and everyone gave it their all, but it was Walkerly house who managed to come in 1st place, with Lindsey House in 2nd and Blakeney House in 3rd place.
