About the Role and You.

Contract type: Zero Hours Contract

Salary: £12.50 per hour

Start date: May 2026

As an Exam Invigilator, you will support the smooth running of internal and external examinations in accordance with examination board regulations and school policies. You will help maintain the integrity of the examination process while ensuring students feel supported throughout the exam period.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing examination rooms in line with examination board regulations.
  • Distributing and collecting examination papers and materials.
  • Supervising students during examinations to ensure exam conditions are maintained.
  • Supporting students during examinations where appropriate, including reading or scribing where approved access arrangements are in place.
  • Ensuring candidates follow examination rules and regulations at all times.
  • Recording attendance and assisting with examination documentation.
  • Reporting any irregularities or issues to the Examinations Officer.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in a similar role within a school or educational environment (desirable).
  • Is reliable, punctual and able to follow clear procedures.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and the ability to remain vigilant during examinations.
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is calm, professional and able to support students in a respectful and reassuring manner.
  • Is flexible and able to work according to the school’s examination timetable.
