Moving Up Open Day

We are delighted to welcome Year 5 and Year 6 pupils to St James’ School for a special 'Moving Up' Open Day designed to support a confident and positive move into Year 7.
This engaging day gives children the opportunity to explore the school, meet key staff and student ambassadors, and take part in a Young Enterprise–style activity focused on teamwork, problem-solving, and self-belief. Everything about the day is carefully designed to help pupils feel comfortable, capable, and excited about what lies ahead.
Children will:

Take part in practical, hands-on challenges

Work in small groups to build confidence and friendships

Meet our teachers and Year 7 and 8 student ambassadors

Experience the supportive environment that defines life at St James’
Event Details

Time: 9:30am – 3:00pm

“Meet the Headmistress” welcome at 10:00am, followed by a tour of the school.

Lunch: Free school lunch provided (or packed lunch optional)

Dress: School PE kit, trainers and a warm coat
