Business Studies Teacher

We are currently looking for a Business Studies Teacher to join our school in Grimsby.

About the Role

To ensure the effective teaching of all pupils, helping them to develop both inside and outside the classroom. Support the policies and aims of the School and ensure the good social, emotional and physical development of every child. In addition to the generic description below, the Business Studies Teacher will be expected to:

  • Teach full time and be a Form Tutor
  • To deliver KS3, GCSE and A-Level Business Studies (the school currently following the AQA & Edexcel specifications)
  • Make a regular contribution to the co-curricular life of the School, through involvement in extra-curricular clubs, societies and activities and through attendance on academic, pastoral and co-curricular school trips.

About You

  • A good honours degree or equivalent QTS
  • Have a secure knowledge and understanding of the subject curriculum and related pedagogy
  • An awareness of the impact that their subject can make to the whole school
  • Ability to teach KS3, GCSE and A-Level Business Studies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with parents and pupils
  • Provision to teach Computer Science or ICT would also be desirable, but not essential

Contract: Monday to Friday, Permanent, Term Time only, Full Time
