St. James’ School has an actively Christian ethos, led by the Chaplain, the Reverend Peter Vickers, but welcomes people of all faiths and none.

Chaplaincy is not just embedded within the tradition of our school for the purpose of worship, the chaplain is also available to provide a pastoral service to pupils, staff and parents, who have a need to talk and to be listened to.

The Chaplain is available to listen to all on an individual basis, but also to provide a quiet space for those members of our school community who need time to reflect.

The door is always open for those who need space, an ear, or simply a cup of tea and a chat.
